Fierce Felines

The Tabaxi are feline humanoids with retractable claws and the grace to match. They are believed to be the most prominent species in the living nation of Vas. However, it is difficult to know as they are very spread out, with many of their settlements hidden within the jungles of Diral.

Of Land and Claw

Outwardly, Tabaxi society appears to primarily be hunting and gathering. In reality, they leverage their close ties to nature and magic in order to fully make use of nature’s bounty.

At home in the lush jungles of Diral, the Tabaxi are a fierce people. The catfolk possess great grace and poise. Tabaxi make storied poets, potent diplomats, and dramatic combatants. Recently, many tabaxi have begun to leave their home, searching for adventure.

Voice of the Many

Tabaxi hold powerful sway within the Territories of Vas. They were key in forming the alliance and are the race most likely to ascend to Voice, the leader of Vas. Tabaxi are also the people most likely to be encountered outside of the Territories. Making up the majority of diplomats, merchants and travelling entertainers.

Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Cat's Claws. Because of your claws, you have a climbing speed of 20 feet. In addition, your claws are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal slashing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier.

Land On your Feet. You reduce falling damage by 20 ft and you can jump your maximum length without needing to move 10 ft (a standing high or long jump is not halved).

Feline Agility. Your reflexes and agility allow you to move with a burst of speed. When you move on your tum in combat, you can double your speed until the end of the tum. Once you use this trait, you can't use it again until you finish a short rest.

Reflexes. You may add your proficiency bonus to your initiative.

Cat's Talent. You have proficiency in two of your choice: Athletics, Acrobatics, Perception and Stealth skills.
